We have been out since just before sunrise attempting to understand how Sir Samuel White Baker’s 1864 expedition crossed several rivers in their attempt to reach Lake Albert. After discussing a late 1950’s copy of a map derived from the Baker diaries, we have discovered a great deal. Most importantly, everyone has an opinion, and here on the African continent they might just have more than one!
